State Revokes Raleigh Child Care Facility’s License Following Investigation

The North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education has revoked the four-star license of Wren and Willow Montessori in Raleigh. The revocation follows a January investigation revealing multiple violations, including unsafe sleep practices, inadequate supervision, and neglectful treatment of children. Specific issues included using unsafe sleep aids, blocking staff visibility around cribs, inappropriate behavior towards children, and failure to provide regular meals. Additionally, the facility was found to have unsafe practices and did not perform required fire drills. The school will no longer operate under its former licensing status.
