Kunle Afolayan, a Nigerian actor, producer, and director, disclosed that his late father, Adeyemi Afolayan, also known as AdeLove, was initially opposed to his involvement in the film industry. Despite this, Kunle Afolayan has made significant contributions to Nollywood by improving the quality of movies through larger budgets, shooting on 35mm, releasing in cinemas, and challenging clichés. In an interview with The Nation, Afolayan shared that his father did not want any of his children to pursue careers in film. Interestingly, Afolayan’s siblings, who are now actors, only began their careers in the industry after their father’s passing, except for his elder sister, Moji Afolayan.
