A young girl, in a desperate bid to save her life, crossed into India from Bangladesh and reached Fatehpur Border Out Post which falls under the jurisdiction of the 17th Battalion of West Bengal’s Kishanganj BSF Headquarters.
The soldiers were shocked when they saw her late Tuesday night. They approached her and inquired about her name and address. The minor’s family, residing in the Panchagarh district of Bangladesh, is associated with ISKCON. Her maternal grandfather revealed that miscreants in Bangladesh have been issuing threats to families affiliated with ISKCON, stating their intent to kidnap their daughters. Left with no other option, the minor was compelled to flee to India.
