A federal appeals court in New Orleans temporarily limited the scope of a ruling that deemed Louisiana’s law requiring public schools to display the Ten Commandments in classrooms next year unconstitutional. While the ruling by US District Judge John deGravelles remains in effect, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals temporarily blocked the part of the ruling that mandated state education officials notify schools statewide about the law being struck down.
