Reclusive L’Oréal heir, who plays piano for hours a day, becomes the first woman with a $100 billion fortune

February 5 2024- Françoise Bettencourt Meyers, the heir to the L’Oréal beauty empire, has achieved the distinction of being the first woman worldwide to surpass a net worth of $100 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. This milestone was reached as the value of L’Oréal S.A. stock, in which Bettencourt Meyers and her family hold a significant 35% stake, hit a record high. The 70-year-old inherited substantial wealth and assets, including mansions, following the 2017 death of her mother, Liliane Bettencourt, marking her as the world’s wealthiest woman.
