Two boys, aged 7 and 10, tragically died in a single-vehicle accident when the SUV they were in crashed into a small pond alongside Interstate 94 near Jamestown, North Dakota. The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. on a Monday. The driver, a 30-year-old woman who was their aunt, lost control of the 1997 Chevrolet Suburban after being passed by a semi-truck. The vehicle overturned and landed on its side in the pond. The driver and five other children in the SUV were injured, with one girl suffering life-threatening injuries and the driver herself sustaining serious injuries. Passersby assisted in rescuing the children from the water. The crash is currently under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
