Leticia Moreno, a pastor from Avondale Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church in Australia, received the “Outstanding Contribution by a School Community Member” award on August 8. She was honored by the Western Shores Learning Alliance (WSLA) for her dedicated volunteer work at Morisset Public School in New South Wales. Moreno has been volunteering at the school’s Breakfast Club every Thursday for the past 18 months, providing essential meals to students. She also assists with literacy activities in kindergarten classrooms and supports teachers. Her efforts include bringing donated food from her church and connecting with students on a personal level.
