Following a viewer tip, Middletown City Schools confirmed that some positions, including substitute teachers and employees funded through Federal Pandemic Relief ESSER Funding, will be cut. The district received approximately $42.5 million from these funds to address learning loss, but the money must be allocated by September 30, 2024, and spent by January 28, 2025, according to the Ohio Auditor’s website.
