In response to Lana Cohen’s recent article on academic challenges in Portland’s classrooms, Samuel Rosenthal expresses concern, echoing sentiments likely shared by many parents. As a volunteer at Portland High School, he defends teachers’ competency but highlights issues such as grade inflation and the self-selection process for honours courses.
