During a special meeting on Dec. 26. five members of the Grosse Pointe Public School System board of education unanimously approved a resolution directing the district administration to negotiate an agreement with the teacher’s union that would pay special education teachers who work in center-based classrooms an additional $10,000 this school year and another $10,000 in 2025-26.
