The board of directors of Cumberland Academy has announced its lone finalist for superintendent. Dr. Jo Ann Simmons was selected as “the most qualified and visionary leader to guide our district into its next era of excellence, growth and innovation.” Simmons recently served 12 years as superintendent of UT Tyler University Academy. Prior to that, she spent 12 years at Tyler ISD where she served as a teacher, coach, and principal.
