This popular YouTuber launched a campaign to help kids in Gaza and other conflict zones

Rachel Griffin Accurso, known as “Ms. Rachel,” is a popular social media creator known for her educational videos for toddlers. Recently, she faced backlash after announcing a fundraising campaign to help children in war-torn regions, including Gaza. Following this announcement, she received critical comments for not also mentioning victims of Hamas’ attacks on Israel. In response, she posted an emotional video reiterating her concern for all children, regardless of nationality or religion. Despite the backlash, Accurso successfully raised $50,000 within hours through personalized video requests, all proceeds going to Save the Children’s emergency fund. She paused new requests to handle the volume and disabled comments on some posts due to the bullying. The situation highlights the challenges influencers face when addressing divisive issues, though Accurso continues to advocate for children in crisis.
