After being placed in foster care, an 11-year-old girl, referred to as M.W., revealed to her caretaker that her mother, Kimberlee Singler, had killed her two younger siblings in their Colorado apartment and instructed M.W. to cover for her. M.W. stated that Singler had made the children drink milk laced with a powder and told them to close their eyes before leading them to a bedroom. Singler, 36, is charged with first-degree murder for the deaths of her 7-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter, as well as attempted murder of M.W. After fleeing to the UK, Singler was arrested in a London hotel on December 30. Additional charges include child abuse and assault, with more counts due to the nature of the crimes against minors. The incident initially came to light following a 911 call reporting a burglary at their apartment.
