School districts face potential penalties

Three South Dakota public school districts face possible punishments for having more cash in their general funds than state law allows. South Dakota’s School Finance Accountability Board on Wednesday recommended that Frederick and Miller school districts receive financial penalties. The state board also recommended Hoven school district undergo a financial accreditation review from the South Dakota Department of Education.
