How Remaining 130 Abducted Catholic Schoolchildren Were Rescued in Niger State

The remaining 130 pupils abducted from St. Mary’s Catholic Primary and Secondary School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State, have been successfully rescued following coordinated security operations led by the Office of the National Security Adviser.

The rescued children, alongside seven teachers, were formally received on Tuesday at the Niger State Government House in Minna by Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago. Their arrival, shortly after 1:30 p.m., was marked by heavy security presence, with the convoy made up of seven white Hiace buses, armoured personnel carriers, and bulletproof vehicles operated by the Department of State Services and the Nigerian Army.
