February 13 2024- EdChoice’s annual Schooling in America (SIA) survey for 2023 reveals the top concerns of parents as they prepare their children for the upcoming school year. The survey, conducted by Braun Research and commissioned by EdChoice, is in its 11th year and provides insights into Americans’ perspectives on K-12 education. The key concerns identified include matters related to school safety, class size, flexibility in educational options, and school spending. The survey aims to understand parents’ satisfaction with their child’s schooling experience and gather opinions on education reform. New questions added each year provide a comprehensive view of the American experience in K-12 education. The survey was conducted from April 18 to May 2, with nationally representative samples of American adults (N=1,224) and current school parents (N=1,504).
