February 16 2024- Schools are recognizing the importance of social and emotional learning (SEL), especially in the wake of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. A new program has been developed post-pandemic to help students in their reconnection with peers and reengagement with learning. Freshmen at Totino-Grace High School in Minneapolis are navigating the transition to high school, facing challenges that include adapting to different learning environments and engaging with peers in person. SEL programs aim to support students in managing these challenges and fostering positive mental health and social development.
