Amid concerns about declining academic performance, mental health issues, and teacher turnover, psychologists are stepping in with solutions. By reimagining the classroom, focusing on personalised learning, and bolstering teacher support, they aim to address these challenges. Initiatives such as personalised pathways, career-focused education, and competency-based learning are gaining traction. Additionally, psychologists are enhancing instruction through experiential learning and addressing teacher well-being through stress-reduction techniques and culturally responsive practices. Efforts to increase diversity among educators and promote a sense of belonging for all students are also underway. However, there’s a need for more school psychologists to implement these interventions effectively and to advocate for policies that protect students in the digital age.
